They're both junk, have tons of wifi issues. Linksys hasn't put out an official firmware update for over a year- never even bothered to address the KRACK issue.

Sounds like the "Xbox enhancement" is just a fancy name for QOS that prioritizes Xbox traffic.

What the heck happened to Linksys. They used to be the defacto wireless router company 15 years ago. I won't even touch one now. All of their routers get horrible reviews. I couldn't take the amount of router resets I had to endure like 10 years ago across several models. It seems like they still haven't turn things around. My ASUS router hasn't reset ever.

The hardware is the same. I'm not sure about what differences there are in the interface, or what gaming convenience features are in there. But if you don't play games, it's not going to be relevant to you.

the wrt32x wrt3200acm? or do you mean the asus ac3200?

the blue linksys (wrt32x) and black linksys (wrt32xb) routers have 99% identical hardware and just run slightly different firmwares.

the wrt32xb has extra qos routines for xbox that you would have to manually input in the regular wrt32x

Optimized for Xbox must just mean they have the Xbox Live ports on the router open by default, right?

In their recent electronics mega-clearance, Walmart [brickseek.com] had these down to $49. Worth double-checking your stores. A few left in my area at full price, but hoping they'll drop too. Pretty good price at $83, though.

Many issues about firmware for this black version ( google for more information )

That's why the price always goes down , not the same with the blue one ( wrt 3200acm ) - you can check the price on eBay to know.

It supposed to support OpenWRT. wonder if that would make it non-suck.

I recently picked 32x up at the Walmart I work at for $49. 4year insurance was a few bones. Totally worth it
