Was looking over some chairs at NFM [nfm.com] for my son this lunch and came across the Respawn - 205 which was on display. NFM was asking $240 and after trying it out felt like a pretty sturdy chair.

Reviews were pretty good for it also. Then I took note of the price on amazon for the same chair in different colors.

All colors were from $210-$230 except the red one. That one is $136.46.3C shows its been around that level for the past month

RESPAWN-205 Racing Style Gaming Chair at Amazon for $136.46 [amazon.com]

Checking SD, it does appear the lowest posted for the 205 at least.

As an owner of this chair. I find it to be really comfortable. I have never had a chair with lumbar support or anything like that so I have nothing to compare it to but I like it. Arm rests are a bit loose tho

I believe they have these at Sam's Club (mine in KS at least) if you want to try them out. I personally didn't find it comfortable.

Slick deals commenters just have to type something, especially if they dislike the product. Good job with the posting and price checking!

Been around here long enough that I come to expect it and it would not be SD if it didn't happen.

Peace

Lol.... Anyone try out the Maingear chairs vs this one for comfort? I was in Microcenter (just picked up PowerSpec G433 PC) & almost bought one of the Maingear chairs which have good reviews, but decided I should probably sit in a few others first....

Haven't had much time but I need a good quality comfortable chair as I run a business out my home & sit alot at the desk plus do some flight simulator & gaming at night sometimes, so my chair sees good use.

Big executive chair my last girlfriend bought for me is terrible, the computer operator chairs I used to have were better. I think some of these gaming chairs might be a good mix of adjustability & comfort but I'm all ears for any opinions or suggestions

I found a similar chair, hardly used, at the thrift store for $40.

It looks cool, but for long term sitting and leaning back, it's not the greatest.

It's raised on the sides, and unless you sit exactly right, you press against the sides and it's not comfortable. I suppose the raised sides may force proper sitting posture.

Regular high back office chairs are better for the $100+ price tag.

Steelcase Leap V2, Steelcase Gesture, Herman-Miller Aeron, and Herman-Miller Embody are some highly recommend office chairs. If you live near a decently sized population center you can usually find lots of them used or refurbished for sale on Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, eBay local pickup, etc.

I personally have a used Steelcase Gesture and can attest that it's awesome. Best chair I've ever sat in.

Agreed. Everyone wants a Herman Miller for $100 with free shipping and God forbid any tax. I bet none of them ever sat on any of these, some of them are not bad at all

if you HAD to get this because you like how it looks then you should, these chairs are not worth a penny more. Spend 80 more and grab a Steelcase Leap refurbished from ebay or other office liquidators.
No clue why you got downvoted. But as someone who is a younger guy (under 30) and has already had a back surgery, please please please, don't cheap out on your chair. Unless of course you only game a couple hours, every few days, then cheap out.

But getting something like a Leap or an Aeron is a very smart idea. I had the Leap V2. But my butt didn't find it very comfortable. That's probably more to do with me (155 pounds) though. It's got every adjustment though!
