FWIW:

Picnic tables typically have a height from 28 to 34 inches above the ground, with most standing at 30 inches. Rectangular table widths range from 28 to 30 inches, and lengths are either 6 or 8 feet.

Any thoughts as to whether this would fit nicely over a campground picnic table or if it's too short?

I would think not only way too short but also not wide enough. 8x8 is the bottom dimension.

Mine shows $0.03.

Aldi has something similar in their Aisle Of Shit this week, think it was $15.

Does anyone know if this needs the guy wires run in order for it to stand up? Or is it self supporting?

I'm about 0/15 on brickseek and it's always been less that 7 in stock or so.

70% available to the first person that gets there to get the deal. 99% to every other person that shows up late.

Got this the last time it was on SD...bought some sand bags (Amazon) to tie down and bury into sand for wind on the beach. Each post has a built in rope for tie down on a stake, but will easily tie on a sandbag. Will report after next week. Smilie

I have one of these (teal one) and they're great for beach or park. It's actually really easy to pitch and put back down. It's def not enough to fit a picnic table but it's not what it's meant for, it's just a shady spot for maybe one or two chairs and a cooler.

Usually I'll lay out everything then go to each corner and extend the pole out. By the last pole the center will prop itself up.

Only time I put guy lines or stake down is if it's windy.

The trick to folding it fast is to collapse each corner first and have it lay flat, then fold each corner in then just grab one corner post and just drag the remaining corners in until its small enough to fit back in the bag. The bag is roomy enough.
