Since SD is getting into selling us stuff, doesn't it erase their incentive to inform us of the best deals? Seems like a conflict of interest. It's like if Consumer Reports started selling vaccuums.

Seems like a one-off model made specifically to be sold in a rebate deal like this. SD rebates are garbage anyway.

Op needs to reflect the prices of $250 , he must not know about SD and PayPal rebates. I was ready to buy until I see the rebate part

Don't be coy. SD takes a cut of sales and these rebates help them make those sales. Otherwise, they wouldn't exist (unless you're running some kind of charity and voluntarily giving us discounts).

Of course the transaction goes through Adorama. Doesn't mean SD is not a de facto advertising firm for them when instead they should be neutral.

It's a short scale travel guitar. Includes a hard shell case according to the description. But I don't see many reviews online. It has one bad review on sweetwater. Used goes for $260.

I was able to find several reviews, generally favorable subtracting for subjective experience and horribly spelled out reviews.

Aren't all reviews subjective?

we are not selling anything... if you want to buy it, it will have to be via adorama.

we're just offering additional savings that can't be had otherwise.

in the end, you're right, if deal sucks, then say it. it shouldn't matter who is selling it, if deal sucks, then deal sucks... i just happen to believe that this deal is pretty damn good Smilie.

Would this be a good starter guitar? I have a friend that has been really into it but she's been practicing with an acoustic one.

So far, I've ordered one acoustic Fender from Adorama and got an email a day later it was on backorder. A few weeks later, still nothing. In the end, I had to cancel it since the rebate time was running out.

My second Adorama order of semi-hollow Gretsch was smooth as balls though.

I guess what I'm saying is don't get too excited until you get an email that it's been shipped,

Does anyone know if this is a classical or acoustic guitar?

Why are their rebates garbage? I got a nice all solid Fender acoustic through Adorama for around $260 after a $120 SD rebate. Worked fine for me... The rebate card was moderately annoying because I had to learn a PIN for it, but it worked just fine.
