Still waiting on my Seasonic rebate from mid-April. They're not kidding around about the "6-8 weeks" processing time.

Given how low power supplies have come, it's hard to justify cheaping out on a 450W Bronze - even if it is Seasonic - when there is a Slickdeal on another 550W Gold Seasonic: https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/t/13189546

In relative terms it's almost twice the price, but in absolute terms the cost as part of an overall build is low.

Power supplies are the most overlooked part of many PC builds, but arguably the most important. Reliable, clean power protects everything else.

Every company will do the same. Even my corsair rebate (sent at same time as my sseasonic rebate) can't be tracked.

Not true. Seasonic followed by Corsair (for power supplies primarily) are one of the worst in rebate processing (while they use a third party processor, the process is specified by the manufacturer that contracts them). Power supplies are highly competitive with low margins and driven by rebates. It also depends on the value of the rebate. Motherboards and video card rebates are a little better. There are always exceptions but quick processing is the exception not the rule.

Around 6-8 weeks is the norm for most manufacturers.

But Seasonic process is to acknowledge receipt one month after the rebate ends (not when you sent it assuming it didn't get "lost"), then it is 8 weeks after that at the minimum. The processed and response sent status will happen after 8 weeks with a will reach by date 3-4 weeks after that. The rebate or a frivolous excuse will arrive close to the end of that period.

I agree 100%. Most people will make the price difference back over the 10yr warranty of the Focus gold plus also

BS. This particular line is not built by Seasonic but contracted out with several cost cutting measures in quality of components and protection circuitry to sell a cheap one.

Good for a backup or a test rig. Don't buy otherwise.

Agreed, but in a super cheapo build, or a replacement for a crappy oem, you can do a lot worse than a Seasonic Bronze.

Thanks OP, just purchased this for a cheap build. Can't argue with the price given I bought a horrible 300W Rosewill PSU before for like $28 which came in a nondescript open box squashed brown box. Returned that (from Amazon) and bought the Seasonic 500 W Bronze last week for the rebate which was like night and day.

Hoping this 450 is just as good for my next ATX PC. Keep those rebates rolling!

No lie. The only time I get an accurate rebate is when I grab somethin' from Target.

you can get the 500 watt one for the same price right now. $22 shipped after $15 rebate.

42 - $5 coupon code = SSNCJUNE5 = $37 with free shipping - less $15 rebate = $22.
