Sceptre 65" Class 4K Ultra HD (2160P) LED TV (U650CV-U)

$369.99 Free Shipping @ Walmart [walmart.com]

Another price drop ($400, $390, now $370) which I believe is the lowest so far. I got it for my parents for $400 + tax. At that price I was very pleased with the PQ. Attached to AVR with Roku and Cable Box. I got 4 year protection for $46 just because.

HDR won't help with that problem. You want a TV with a higher contrast ratio and especially lower black levels. This is why people like OLED so much. While these cheap TVs are a good deal for those that only care about size, you are seeing the problem with them.

How does this compare to the Hisense that's regularly 399 at Bestbuy?

Have this TV and really enjoy it. Wish it had HDR because during dark scenes it's hard to keep track of what's happening, but totally worth the money otherwise.

Uh, no. HDR on budget TV's is a total lie. I have the 55" 4K Hisense and the HDR makes everything look worse. It's software defined BS HDR. Junk. My next TV with true HDR is going to be Dolby Vision certified.
