I know in the past you can use it towards prepaid tips. Can Not use towards fun shops, cheers package etc but can anyone confirm if it can be used towards carnival travel insurance?

Does anyone know if this would work for making a payment to an existing reservation balance? Or does it need to be a brand new reservation?

One more question. We have an Amex account. We are both card holders, with different card numbers, but it's the same account (one shared statement). Can each card receive the credit or is it per account? The terms make it sound like it's once per card but I'm not sure if that means literal card or means "account".

I hope so, I booked last week but only put down the deposit with the remainder due later. I'm going to pay it in full now and hopefully this offer applies.
It looks like it should as long as it goes through carnivals website or their 800 number.

You should both be able to get the cashback. I have the same situation with myself and my wife, and we've both used the same offer multiple times over the years.

But Amex changed things within the last year, where they don't allow the same offer across different cards, so this may no longer work.

I had two browsers open for a business account and had the offers up for both mine and my wife's employee card. I was able to apply the offer to both, but I am not sure we would both get it in the end. Perhaps one way to really try this is to first apply the offer to one card, then log into the other card and see if the offer is still there. I was thinking a business account may work a bit different than just an AU, but I am not sure.

Amex has caught on and changed this, they've even clawed back the credit for those who've abused

Do you have personal experience to back that up? I do this all the time - I have one account with 2 additional card holders. There are some offers that I get on all 3 of them and I have happily been using the offers on all three - no problems whatsoever. Right now abusint the "76" gas station deal - buy $30 of gas and get $5 back - between the 3 cards all belonging to the same primary holder, I have 9 times I can use the credit - already distributed between the cards and working fine.

That is a different scenario - that is for multiple logins for same cardholder (same SSN). The scenario I am describing is for different card holders.

Does this still work if you book through somebody like Vacations to Go as long as they then charge Carnival directly?

Seems like in the past there was mention in the fine print of specifically being able to use a 3rd party agent like VTG.
