I've had one of these for quite some time now and I'm certain it can do way more than I currently have it programmed to do.

It is very satisfying to have my hands full with dinner, walking into the living room, and saying "Ok Google, turn on the entertainment center!". It will then power on my Vizio TV to the correct input, turn on my AVR, and be ready to select a show without trying to find 3 hidden remotes. This is living in the future!

edit: this is also about $20 cheaper then what I bought it for and it was a great deal at the time. Actually I hadn't seen this item posted in quite some time so if ya want it (and you do want it) you better get it now.

I loved my 650, but it didn't work with my PS4. I bought this and I love it, I just wish the remote was backlit though, or that they sold this specific remote backlit. I've had it for a while so I can basically feel for the right button without having to look, but I really missed backlighting in the beginning....I still do. This remote has short and long press buttons, you can configure it to control a bunch of things on one activity which is sweet. You can do it right through your phone on their app, no more hooking up your remote to a PC just to change things. Oh, and the battery for this guy isnt regular AAAs, iirc their 2032, the round coin like batteries. If you have any specific questions just lmk.

I have an older Harmony 650. Is it worth buying this?

I replaced my "4k TV fire stick" and the "harmony remote and hub" with the Amazon TV cube. And I could not be happier. Two devices in one! And it runs amazing and all voice controlled. Dont have to look for my Harmony remote. OR ask... Alexa tell Harmony to....
Alexa turn on tv
Alexa turn up the volume five notches and it does that on the receiver.

If you're going to buy the Amazon fire stick and the harmony, I would say wait a few days and I'm pretty sure that the TV cube will be at a decent price on prime day.

I do the same with Alexa. It turns on the TV and sound bar and I can adjust the volume or change channels with my voice. Now I don't have to worry about the cheap, fragile remote to the Klipsch sound bar breaking.

If it's working for you, i wouldn't change right now. It goes for this price often. Now if there's some equipment that is not working with the 650, then yes it is well worth it. Just ther RF signal without a line of sight is worth it. I've had 2 for 3 or 4 years now and can't imagine my wife turning on the entertainment system without it.

According to Amazon, I purchased this exact one a while back and it did include the hub.

Does anyone know if you can add an Elite remote to the hub, or does it only work with the included remote?
