I bought three refurb Hue Strips 2 years ago from Living Social and returned all of them. None of them worked correctly. I bought a new one and haven't had any issues. This one doesn't mention a warranty. New ones come with a 2 year warrantly. The seller on Ebay is Tech Rabbit so not sure if theirs are any better than the ones I bought off of Living Social.

Only 6.6ft light? Is this just an extension?

Is there any way to combine mutliple of these together or can you only do this with the 40" extensions?

Ive been interested in buying some but I recently encountered third party led strip controllers that work with the hue app natively that are cheaper and can use longer strips. Ever since learning about this I see these way overpriced

I too had the same issue with refurbs on the light strips. Mine were light distribution, color issues and connectivity to the plug. Not sure what yours were.

I recently hooked up one of these Hue lightstrips I had bought last Black Friday. My honest opinion is that it is a little underwhelming. 61/2 feet really isn't that long and in my case the strip doesn't get very bright. I don't think it was worth what I paid and think $40.00 is still too much. I am not a Hue hate, just sharing my experience.

I can't comment on the light strips but I bought 17 BR30 refurbs from them, 2 Hue Gos and some A19 bulbs and all were in new condition other than the refurb box they came in. The colors matched perfectly with the new condition ones I got from the Woot deal as well.

I just want to add that I recently added a hue plus strip above the curtains/behind the projector screen and it's really bright. The lamp on the other side of the room with a br30 and two A19 gen2 bulbs it's only a tad bit brighter. But the strip fills the room more.

Plus is rated at 1600 lumens though not sure how that spec applies as you as more length.

Room size is a 14x20

side note I also had a 30 ft strip in the same spot but the hue strip is much more color accurate and brighter. the one thing I do miss is the controller being ir I could have it brighten up when pausing movies with the Harmony hub. hue are seen an home devices not entertainment devices so they can only be changed on start/end not button mapped.

The Giderwel controller on amazon is $28 and doesn't come with a strip or power supply; for all three I'm seeing $70. It's only $5 cheaper than the current price of a genuine Hue strip? Am I missing something?

Do not buy. This is only 120 lumens vs the 1600 lumens of the 80" current light strip. Search the model # 800540 from eBay post. Or read this: https://justclickappliances.com/p...ifference/
You are mistaken. This is the plus version. It is 1600 lumens.
