I will not thumbs-down but this really is a meh bundle. The motherboard has less than glowing reviews (ASRock in general is very hit or miss, with a "miss" on their entry level boards being pretty common), and going for a Z390 + DDR4-3200 for a non-k series Intel process doesn't really make any sense.

i5-9400f is $149.00

I agree it is a "meh" deal. But there's nothing wrong with going with a z-series board for a locked cpu. I've done this in the past to get features like raid and uncapped ram speeds.

Good point, the features on a Z390 are certainly useful irrespective of the CPU.

"going for a Z390 + DDR4-3200 for a non-k series Intel process doesn't really make any sense."

One hundred percent this. If this were parts geared towards a system with DDR4 that might make sense; this one just seems like one of those 'about to be a buck fifty in a month or two' deals.
