Good price for a good laptop, only downside is that the battery capacity is low, 46Whr. Should have been at least 60Whr.

Seems like an Ok deal for the office type but without a dedicated graphics card no deal. Check out the other deals ASUS has on their laptops before pulling the trigger.

Would this be a good laptop for a college student? She is not a gamer, but she does dabble in photography and does some editing of photos and videos. Looking for a quality, light laptop. I'm aware macbook is probably best for her, but I dont feel like spending $2000

this is actually just as good for photo editing, with 100% srgb. rendering videos will be a pain without a dedicated graphics card, though.

I've been hemming and hawing over this laptop myself for primarily office work + lightroom and productivity/translation, and despite the amazingly-light body and gorgeous USB-C ports I don't think it's polished enough to justify a purchase.

Give it a little bit of a wait and see what you find. You might consider this deal that's up right now at a bit of a higher premium: https://slickdeals.net/f/13191883-asus-zenbook-ux533-ultra-slim-laptop-15-6-fhd-ips-i7-8565u-16gb-ddr4-gtx-1050-2gb-1tb-pcie-ssd-win10-pro-1200-f-s?v=1

Alternatively, just hold up a little bit.
