Sorry kids, no summer vacation this year.

You have titanium tweeters. These are aluminum. You also have the better cerametallic woofer. This is a budget speaker.

I would say that it would be a incremental upgrade if you even found them to be one.

$400 may sound like a lot but if the RF-82's are truly the speakers you aspire for I say just get them.
In the grand scheme of things that's not a lot and you won't be looking to upgrade anytime soon if ever.
Hell I'll trade you, $400 wouldn't even cover 1pair of my in-ceiling speakers 😜.
Speakers are not the place to skimp on.

Are these better quality than RB-61 II? I currently have those paired to a RC 62 II

I've been looking at the RF-82 II but cant get myself to pay the 400, hoping they come down a little more in the future

I am wondering the same thing whether these are better than the RB-61 II. Undecided right now.

I think this is a good deal. These speakers have a surprising bass response and they get loud with low power. They're rear ported so they need to be a few inches away from the wall to perform properly and they are pretty deep so they do take up some space.

How would these rate vs the Polk Monitor60's I bought 7 or 8 years ago? I haven't looked into speakers since then but have been contemplating a upgrade.

Agreed, RF-82's are well worth the $400 price tag. The original post is for budget speakers.

I would start by asking what's wrong with the 60's that you want to upgrade.
Keep in mind your Polk's and these Klipsch have two different sound signatures.
If you haven't heard these you might want to if your going to consider them IMO.

Pray tell- what is a "sound signature"?

Honestly, as an owner of RF 82 iis you'd be better off getting a pair of RPs on a slick deal (probably from Fry's) than the RF 82 iis. There was a deal posted two days ago where they had a pair under $400.
