I just got Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu (Digital) for $45+tax from Target website. I was going to spend a voucher on Nintendo Store but this was cheaper. Also there is a 10% discount incoming but when I checked the price in the weekly ad it was $54.

Edit: I shouldn't have trusted the weekly ad price, now its $40. Lost $5 Frown
I am going to try to price match since the price changed only 1 hour after purchase

This has the same hardware as the New 3ds XL except for the 3D right? Strange that target didn't put the word "new" in the title, but it shows it on the box.

There are also minor build quality differences like speaker quality and stylus length, but the internal hardware is the same (same NFC capabilities, no performance differences or unplayable games). The New 2DS has a matte finish, weighs less than the New 3DS, and has an SD slot that's accessible without taking apart the system.

is the 3D worth it? or just a gimmick?

I find it annoying and turn it off - it is gimmicky imo.

The effect is noticeable when playing ORAS, but Ultra Sun/Moon disabled it. Overall I think most can live without 3D. I rarely touch it on my N3DSXL.
