So you're saying there's too much pressure on using it? My jokes are bad.

the ultra is at 105$ now on Amazon

My summary on instant pot models

Wifi > Ultra > nano/viva > Duo plus > Duo > Lux

Duo - most popular

Duo plus - upgraded Duo

nano/viva - Costco or Sams specific

Ultra - knob instead of buttons

Wifi - smart (no you cant start cooking from office )

It sucks as a slow cooker, though. I got our 8-quart with the thought of giving away our large slow cooker, but it's nowhere near as good as an actual stoneware slow cooker. I guess it'll do the job if you don't already have one, though.

Did you even read the article?

Anyone who thinks glyphosate causes cancer - especially at the level of exposure that your average person could be expected to experience - is a sucker for click-bait and nothing more. Or from California, where everything causes cancer.

But hey, in a world where anti-vaxxers and homeopaths are given as much credibility as actual scientists, might as well quit eating rice while you're at it: https://www.consumerreports.org/c.../index.htm

I bought one of these a month ago and have yet to use it. I'm sure it's great and I'm excited to get cooking with it. I just don't know what to cook. The instant pot communities on facebook are all very snobby.

Great price. Got mine about 3 weeks ago on Amazon for $60 and it's been the hardest working tool in my kitchen.

For the guy complaining about community, download the instant pot app, it has a lot of recipes in there. Tried a couple in the past few weeks and they can't all be winners, but I have stumbled into a couple good ones I would make again.

Is there any real advantage to getting an Instant Pot over a basic pressure cooker? The recipes I have seen don't seem to make use of the additional options/modes that the instant pot offers (which seems to be the justification for the higher price).

Anybody have any experience with these?
