I think you're mixing up components.

The CCFL vs LED is the BACKLIGHT.

Panel type (IPS/VA/TN) talks about PIXEL STRUCTURE in the LCD.

OP is possibly trolling, but maybe not. CCFL isn't as bright and vibrant as modern LED panels, but were often more color accurate because of how the overall design handles light passing through and, more importantly, creating blacks.

Also, there is an argument around reliability of CCFL being better than the average LED

I'm no expert on this, but my $.02

PS It's CCFL, not CFL. CFLs are those twisted fluorescent lights in your lamp shade.

48 to 75 Hz range for Freesync based on a Russian Youtube video (LG didn't have it on their site). I would look elsewhere if that is a key feature for you as the range isn't very good.
