"This warranty excludes incidental/inconsequential damages and failures due to misuse, abuse or normal wear and tear"

If you have very hard water ( we don't want the kitchen cold softened for drinking and watering plants ) and the finish starts to wear off and it gets hard to operate after a year or two that will be "normal wear and tear" and not covered under the _Limited_ lifetime warranty.

order the Carla one when it was on sale last time. spend an hour to install that and turned out the faucet is defective(little to no water flow). return it at HD for a full refund and have to pay full price on a Delta one. with the time wasted, i don't think this brand worth the $. YMMV

Home Depot house brand made by several Chinese, Taiwanese and Israeli companies. Good bang for the buck.

Warranty, and parts are generally ok as long as the model is still being sold in the store. If that is not the case even HD will likely not know who made it and where to go for the part.

So if you buy these on clearance you get a good price. But when something breaks, you will buy and install another faucet.

What American made brand do you recommend for faucets?

Waterstone faucets are really good and American made, the only downside is they have an American price

Moen
Price pfister
Delta
In that order. Domestic brands, fair pricing, all with lifetime warranties that they honor with no hassle. Even if your not the original owner, just don't tell them. If you dont know the model number of your faucet, you can email them some pictures and they will determine what you have and send the correct parts.
As a professional in the field, it's always a bummer for the customer when they have a product that has terrible customer support or parts that are hard to find as it forces a replacement instead of a simple repair. Labor to install cost more than the faucet. Buy a quality faucet that will last and is repairable, it will cost less in the long run.
