Walmart in-store cell phone shop has an additional $100 off a new Samsung S8 for new Verizon customers or as an upgrade of an existing Verizon line. The price is tagged $399 - $100 = $299 but the latest price is an additional $100 off so is actually $199 plus $40 activation. You cannot pay off the phone in-store but you can after the $40 activation hits your Verizon account.

The store has all three colors in stock-black,silver and orchid gray (my pick).
No penalty for early pay-off. Does not require changing to an unlimited plan. You can use the More Everything family plan. I am calling Verizon to see if this phone line is the same $20 per month as each of my other lines are. There's no language in the contract that indicates one would have to pay a "subsidized" line rate.

The monthly payment if you retain the financing is $8.33 (8.29 reduces a few cents after x months) for 24 months.

You can return within 14 days; however, the activation fee will not be credited after three days of activation. I only had to pay $14.48 tax to purchase today.

The clerk said ATT customers can get the same deal but he wouldn't prove it by generating a contract.

I could not find this deal on Walmart.com. The contract is with "Walmart Stores DBA Walmart".

I wanted a Samsung that works with the two wireless chargers my hubby owns. This is best Samsung S8 deal I could find.

That's not what I meant... I was referring to their incompetent stock/availability

The area does look like a tornado blew through and the large price labels, as I learned today, can be obsolete. The kid selling phones looked a little desperate for a sale and was very helpful. So, I hope this works out.

Not that great of a deal since they need to run a credit check as well. They have tons of better deals for phones if you activate a new line with carriers.

No. The clerk said they had not changed their labels. I actually went there looking for the brickseek LG zone 4 which they did not have.

Is this for a "new" out of the box phone, or is this price for a certified refurb or used phone? Has anybody been able to confirm this deal?

Mine is brand new and was pristine—not even a fingerprint. Plus, I can show you the contract, message me your email. BTW, I just posted a link to an AT&T deal for the same phone, midnight black, same price $199, advertised on Walmart.com. I am thinking that Walmart is discounting ATT Samsung galaxy S8, and possibly S9, same as Verizon, The store label price for ATT also showed $299 ($399 - $100). The clerk said "Samsung generic" was an additional $100 off, Before he asked who my carrier was.The stores will match Walmart.com cell phone deals. I didn't ask but the Samsung Galaxy S9 might be $349 as it had similar $100 off $549 label and the clerk said the extra $100 applied to Samsung Galaxy "generic." Verizon and ATT had same prices at store, were right next to each other. I plan to go back tomorrow evening and see if I can get the S9. I bought this phone for my husband and I am really liking it. Also, I had to upgrade the S8 phone from nougat to pie, version 9. Took almost 8 hours but works great. Store did not have the Galaxy + plus versions.

Anyone know if this deal is still active? Local Walmart h shows a couple of s8 in stock at $350 according to BS and I've had good luck with phones there in the past.
