Comparing brands is a fool's errand, you need to compare similar models in each brand or you are just blowing smoke. Not all Vizio TVs are good or bad, same with Samsung, LG, Sony and anyone else. The last decade or so they have all been making low-end and high-end models, more recently there's a bunch in the mid-range but saying Vizio sucks is entirely misleading if you have only been buying a lower tier of the TVs.

I've personally always spent for the higher tier of low-end brands like Vizio because it's usually priced around the low tier of other brands and you end up with much better specs and features, never had any issues, but my brother hates his Vizio and his Sony but he's always buying low-end budget models, no surprise in the quality there.

I've had the opposite experience. I have six Vizio's and never had an issue. One I bought at Costco, it was a really expensive TV back then and was used as a display and it's at least 15 years old. Beautiful picture to this day.

I went to a Walmart near me and they had a completely obliterated open box of this with no price here they tried only taking $25 off so I passed. Lol.

I own 2 Vizios from 2015 and 2016 each have given me fits. Surprised how they are so highly rated. I think it's quality control and they let lemons out of the factory. No way to know if you have a lemon until it's too late.

I'll never buy another one. Both came from Costco and went defunct after the warranty.

I second that. Vizios suck big time. Their OS is so damn slow.

My 2011 Samsung TV's picture quality and speed blows my 2015 Vizio out the water.

Rookie mistake to buy a Vizio TV without a 4-5 year warranty. I buy Vizio TV's with the expectation that in 4-5 years I'll want a bigger and better TV anyway.

How does this compare to the 65" Sceptre posted a while back? https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/482143

I don't really care about any smart features, really just asking about picture quality.

I bought a 60 inch Vizio last may. It broke a month after the original manufacturer warranty expired. Luckily I bought the extended warranty from Walmart.

Keep in mind that this is the D series. You should be able find the E series which is a good bit better if you shop around.
