Some one correct me if i am wrong.
I believe Fancy Feast is one of the only cat food brands not to be recalled.

Having 4 cats over the past 2 decades, they seemed not to like any seafood variety fancy feast except salmon.
Chicken Pate Fancy Feast was favored
They like gravy
They hate sheds or big nugget type cat food
Fancy Feast kitten is now number one...including with my 18 year old male cat---still going strong.
You're right, they've never been recalled but Purina has had other pet foods that have. Also, just because a brand was never recalled doesn't mean the food is necessarily good for you pet.

Wow! Your cat is 18!
That's great!
My cat likes the Gravy, but tends to suck the gravy out of the mixture and leave the chunks. Applause
Sometimes it helps if I cut up the chunks and smash up the mixture.
I am tending to stay with the Pate these days. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
My cat is spoiled.

My 2 do same thing with the chunkier kinds. FF pate with a little water (any flavor) is their favorite.

Just wanting to add to the convo, I also have the 50% off coupon from Amazon [50% extra savings coupon applied to first Subscribe & Save order only] and was able to use it on the Shieba Perfect Portions 48 pack to bring it down to $9.12!

We had to return a couple of these variety packs as the food from cans that are "made in France" are not eaten by our cats. And there are many bad reviews at Amazon and elsewhere about this situation - besides being repulsive to cats, many cats get very sick. https://www.consumeraffairs.com/p...feast.html

Google "fancy feast made in France"

Until the issue is fixed we are ordering the classic beef only as that variety seems always made in US or Canada.
I second this. I recently bought the 24 packs from Amazon and they were the "Made in France" variety which definitely has a different consistency (and I'm assuming slightly different formulation) than the Made in US versions. Though my cat will eat it, I am leery to buy the Made in France stuff as we've been feeding the original Fancy Feast classic for years without issue and don't want to fix something that isn't broken.

FWIW the EU regulates pet food safety standards much better than the US does. Same for human food.

The 24 pack at $9.97 actually has a 50% coupon for the first subscribe and save order of it, which makes it $4.98 before taxes.
I got one for the feral cat visiting my yard that my wife (and secretly me) like to feed.
Don't forget to fix that feral and ear tip it, if it isn't already, so the one stray doesn't multiply. Lots of rescues will lend traps and share info on free/low-cost spay& neuter.

This is one of the best and least expensive foods for a cat with diabetes. I know. We went from 7 units to 2 units of insulin by switching to this. Thank you for the deal heads-up!
