Hello,
I'm from EU. Anybody have knowledge if RX-V685 or RX-V485 are only 110V or maybe 110-230V?
I've been rocking a step up converter 1000w the last 3.5 years with my US amp. Works well

I think you'll see deals like this frequently, Black Friday or not. I bought this bundle with a Yamaha 2085 9.2 and floorstanding speakers with Atmos about 3 months ago and I love it. If you are willing to hunt for deals and by separates you can save ~$400 over the bundle. But the ease of one mouse click was worth it for me, especially if you're not an expert (and I'm not).

I have the RX-V575 and it's just 110v.. or so it says on the back. Then again, the ps3/4s also say 110v at the back but have a 100-240v power supply inside.
PS3's and PS4's have SMPS (switching power supplies) and adjust to incoming voltage accordingly.

Most home audio receivers use large transformers for power supplies with a set voltage input/ratio. Some receivers have a small switch on back that slides between 120 and 220v.

I currently have a RX-V675 and it's only labeled for 120v 60hz 500VA input. No slide/selector switch.

Putting 220v to my receiver would either smoke, it or blow the internal fuse if I'm lucky. I'm experienced with consumer/industrial electronics repair and design.

So glad I have my 3rd daily posting for ADORAMA offering for TODAY. GOD know what I would do without these daily updates over and over and over!! You guys get a commision on these deals? BTW ... my son purchased one of these sets and they shipped it without the center speaker. Put it on back order. Then told him it wasn't coming. He went thru hell to settle with them. Yet they keep advertising the same combo to this day. BEWARE

Sorry to hear that.

My experience has been just the opposite with Adorama.

My speakers (another deal) arrived damaged during shipment. They were quick to take care of it with prepaid return arrangements.

What bundle would be better? It seems that the only difference is the receiver. Is it worth the extra $150 for bundle #2?

I wish these deals came with a 'without a receiver' option.

I purchased exact same deal few months back. This is my first HT. Went with 7.2 so that later I can upgrade to Atmos setup. I am happy with this but after reading on various forums this is what I have learned.
This is the lowest level Klipsch. This is reference series and people seem to prefer Reference Premier series. There have been some deals on that, slightly pricier than these but they were in my budget. Specially the floor standing speakers with Atmos firing ones. There was a deal on bookshelf speakers for R51M (for under $100) which are slightly bigger than R41M here (for $125). If I were to do it all over again, I would not purchase this bundle, I would rather purchase separately. By no means this is bad deal and if you dont want to read a lot and try to optimize then just go with it. But if you are willing to put in the effort then for $1500 you can go to the next level. Also want to mention that I am putting this in a 13'x16'x9' room and seems appropriate for the size of the room

Seriously, it just racks up the price on an otherwise amazing deal.

Are these really slickdeals? Seems like they are the one item that is consistently on the front page constantly.

I ended up buying the 7.2 version. I hope I don't regret it later kind of like you said, but I didn't feel like waiting for each set to go on sale. I didn't purchase this bundle last time because I wasn't sure if I wanted a full set of speakers but I decided I didn't want to get a sound bar. Maybe I can just upgrade little by little. Either way, it's not that bad of a deal. I can probably resell some speakers at a small loss if I ever change my mind.

Do you know if these come with cables? Or is there anything I need to buy?

Doesnt come with any cables except for power cable of the AV receiver and subwoofer. Buy a spool of 100' speaker cables and 1 coaxial cable for the subwoofer. Banana plugs are also recommended. HDMI cables to connect to TV, Projector, PS4, laptop. It has 2 HDMI outputs and 5 inputs, so depending on how many devices you have and where they are placed you might need upto 7 cables of various lengths. Let the stuff arrive and build it slowly. Initially I was moving things around pretty much every day until I got happy with where they are placed and how the wires are hidden
