My use case for the buttons/switches: I have a VR headset, which i'm supposed to unplug when not in use. I like pressing the button instead.

I also have a headset that I only use at night when everyone is sleeping. Same thing, it's easier to press a button.

Obviously a lot of people need 7 port plus because item got 12,590 review and many were positive 👍👍👍

I find it useful. Instead of removing the plug to disconnect my USB device, e.g. memory card reader, i simply "switch" it off. Another example is a fan. I don't run the usb cooler fan all the time. it's simpler to switch on/off than removing the usb plug each time.

Got their 4-port USB a while back to hook up my devices including a 2 HDDs SATA bay, working fine so far.

I have this one, and it works fine. The buttons seem a bit gimmicky, but could be useful if you need to turn off the feed from the USB easily.

The cord feels a tad too short though. It sits on my desk and doesn't move around, but it'd be nice if were longer.

I purchased the 7 port hub last time this deal came up in May. Price this time is a few cents less than what I paid. I would give my thoughts and impressions on it, if...you know, it wasn't still sealed. It just seems like something that is good to have around.

I don't understand the "buttons" on a USB hub.

And my search for a cheap powered USB 3 hub continues. I am not paying $20 for one, and who the hell needs 7+ ports?

4 ports - 1 usb connection thats self powered. If you are using 4 devices that are decent power users then you will get a little prompt on your comp warning you that you are using too much power.

I need 3 ports just for wireless keyboard/mouse/ and a seperate blue tooth adapter. I think I am using 6 right now and I will use 1-2 more for charging stuff.

Will 4 ports work in Car to convert single USB charger to 4 port charger?
