PD stands for Power Delivery I believe. I think for battery banks to have PD on it, it must meet a certain amperage or output level. I'm not entirely sure tho.

Almost pulled the trigger until I realized it was microUSB charging. I don't want to carry a separate cable just to charge this.

I also wish they wouldn't bundle them with a wall charger. Don't wanna pay for something I already have. Smilie

I own the updated model of this and the comparable aspect is size and weight.... if you just are trying to go big, but dont have experience... these are very heavy for what you want.

not effectively, it will charge it while its off, and when in use it will charge it slowly and cant keep up with the power demands of switch, so eventually the switch will run out of power.

Be aware, the input to this is ***micro USB***. You're not buying the latest technology (USB C).

If you're looking for a high quality battery pack at a reasonable price, this one is probably for you. If you're looking for a high quality battery pack that will natively charge to and recharge from USB C, then this is not for you.

I've got a RAV 20100 USB C battery pack purchased about 2-years ago that's probably not the quality of this Anker, and was a little more expensive, but it has more advanced (read future-proof) features.

So, bottom line, if you want something high quality that works easily now with a few compromises as to number and type of cable, order this and you'll likely be happy. But, if you want something that will work easily in a few years when everything is USB C and gobbling up power like there's no tomorrow, you probably want to look elsewhere.

No the best charger for a Switch is a USB-PD charger

See this medium post to understand the multiple types of power input the Switch can utilize in Portable Mode
