Looks like 8x LG 18650 cells. Is this a good deal? $5 per cell?

So this won't be good to charge a Nintendo Switch?
It will work, but not very fast since this is non-pd

Almost pulled the trigger until I realized it was microUSB charging. I don't want to carry a separate cable just to charge this.
saved me from pulling the trigger

It's the same size battery, but requires two cables to charge. You also need to provide your own wall charger(s). It does, however, charge faster than the PowerCore+.

If you're not concerned about how fast the battery pack charges, then the PowerCore+ is probably a better value.

Anker offers most of its models refurbished on eBay for pretty good prices. Always make sure to compare.

Be aware, the input to this is ***micro USB***. You're not buying the latest technology (USB C).

If you're looking for a high quality battery pack at a reasonable price, this one is probably for you. If you're looking for a high quality battery pack that will natively charge to and recharge from USB C, then this is not for you.

I've got a RAV 20100 USB C battery pack purchased about 2-years ago that's probably not the quality of this Anker, and was a little more expensive, but it has more advanced (read future-proof) features.

So, bottom line, if you want something high quality that works easily now with a few compromises as to number and type of cable, order this and you'll likely be happy. But, if you want something that will work easily in a few years when everything is USB C and gobbling up power like there's no tomorrow, you probably want to look elsewhere.
Given that these are loaded with 18650 batteries, I think future-proofing your purchase with USB-C is short sighted. These batteries don't have inifinite life cycles. By the time this power bank dies, the USB-C ones with be much cheaper. I get future-proofing, but this seems a little extreme.

This is too lightweight for my needs. Anyone know of a decent power bank in the 100,000mAh range? Has to be portable though. And cheap. Preferably with a built-in toaster oven and coffeemaker. All solar-powered, of course. And cheap, did I mention that it has to be cheap?

Ughhhhhh no PD means this is not really a deal. You are just paying more for the Anker name.

Exactly. And if you think about the way you charge power banks, it's different than phones. Your phone might be charged from your car, or your powerbank, or your computer, or the outlet at Starbucks, wherever you can plug in. But your powerbank is usually an overnight or all-day charge from a fixed wall charger anyway. Does it really make any difference which cable you use when you plug it in at home/work? Not for me. Your phone or laptop needs the latest cable interface, sure. But with your power bank charger, it probably doesn't matter, since you likely don't need to carry it on you. And don't we all have about 25 micro USB cables and charging units at home and the office already?

I own the updated model of this and the comparable aspect is size and weight.... if you just are trying to go big, but dont have experience... these are very heavy for what you want.
I just carry around a car battery. It's got a lot of hello kitty stickers on it so I still look cool.

It's just overkill for most folks. Even folks on business working for 10-15 hours on a plane probably have access to a power outlet at their seat. Even the hardcore Switch player is in the same boat.

No need for me to list those that would benefit (campers, folks that work remotely away from buildings), just letting people know unless you explicitly need the battery power here.... you can get something more convenient for less.
