RTIC [rticcoolers.com] has their standard Backpacks on sale for 70% off which makes them $27 each. I purchased the Black and Kaleidoscope for my kids last school year and they are holding up great and can hold a lot of stuff. They are just as good of quality if not better than Swiss Gear in my opinion. I believe this is the cheapest they've been in quite some time. Shipping is usually extra or free over $50, but they do have tax and tariff surcharges during checkout for many. The black is currently sold out, but 6 other colors are available.

At the risk of rude but not meaning to be, the OP mentioned he has experience with them and even mentions Swiss Gear. I know you are probably just looking for additional feedback but figured I'd point that out in case you missed it.

Shipping is only like $6 for me. If you want to try and avoid shipping charges, they have some not horribly overpriced tumblers and some other things in their clearance section.

A little more expensive and probably the same quality as the Walmart ones, but the pictures seem to indicate that they come with closeable fliptops which evens it out.

You know the tariff charge is bull right. They bought this inventory of backpacks months ago. And now are selling it at a discount because they didn't sell any. And are trying to cover costs with a tariff charge. We won't see the effects of tariffs for months if ever. Inventory and merchandise is bought months in advance before putting it out to sell.

Anyone have some experience with one of these backpacks? How do they compare to Swissgear?

I got one of these for work and I keep my laptop in it along with folders and other work related materials. I have to say this bag is one of the best bags for the money. On par with higher priced bags.
It's very well padded to protect my laptop. It also has a built headphone/usb charging port. For those judging this bag, read the reviews on their website. All RTIC products are made so much better than you could find at Wal-mart.

I bought the hydration day pack last time and it's a nice pack. More for hiking than the bookbag listed here. It should probably be front page.

Good deal, but the tariff surcharge is some dumb Trump bs.
First time I've ever seen this, so I buy more to avoid shipping, but then have to pay even more for this tariff. I thought Trump said China pays for this tariff, is he ignorant?

Things like this will always get passed down to the consumer. I think that's what "trickle down economics" is all about.

Anyone know what the warranty is on these backpacks? I don't see it listed anywhere. Any chance they have a lifetime warranty like some of the better backpack makers?

UPDATE: Their chat agent said the backpacks only have a one year warranty. She gave me a link to the warranty page, [rticcoolers.com] which confirmed it.

Do any of the pockets on the bag have a lock? Or zippers that you can add a lock?

thanks
