Looks like a killer gaming headphone based off reviews. Same class as Hifiman 4xx and variants.

I wouldn't compare a dynamic to a planar

So what would you say is their sound quality difference?

Picked these up for my wife at $152 on the last deal and they're well worth that. They're very comfortable, lightweight, and have great sound quality.

Is it more of a warm kind of sound or on the bright/treble-y side?

With my headphones, I use a Blue Yeti.
Blue Snowball is a cheaper option.

I've also used the Antlion ModMic with Seinnheiser headphones, which works well.

But for my preference, that's expensive for what it is. Its the same price as a Snowball, I'd go Snowball.

Zalman Zm-Mic1 clip on mic always gets a lot of recommendations. I own one of these too. Its fine for a $10 cheap mic. But imo, you get what you pay for. I'd only keep one of these for a backup, or to travel with or something.

Finally, the V-MODA BoomPro always gets a lot of recommendations as well, as a cheaper alternative to the ModMic... I have no experience with this one, because it uses 3.5mm input and my Seinnheiser headphones use 2.5mm, so it would require an adapter which then makes it kind of awkward I would think. But, people make it work.

I'd get the K702. The HD599 SE and variants are amazing headphones and highly recommended, however they are a light on the bass, and I think for gaming the K702 would have a more lively and immersive sound experience with their added bass. Keep in mind that the K702 is not as refined and accurate as the HD599, so there is a trade off in sound quality. Both are excellent though.
