Not sure how you max 1440 with that my 6600k and 980 ti struggle with it and the benchmarks all point to the same.

1440p max setting, no way 970 can handle that lmao... It struggles to even get 60 fps on 1080p on most AAA games. Heck, it can't even get 60 fps on GTA V 1080p max.

Good price for the specs. Grab it if you need a system now and not planning on building a new ryzen system.

I'm still rocking a Xeon w3670 w/ 24gb ram and a gtx970. tempting to upgrade, but the only times my system chokes is at 4K otherwise it can run pretty much most games max at 1080p or 1440p.

Anyone know what motherboard and PSU are in here? These are the items these PC builders usually cheap out on.

Decent value, but note that the RAM is a little slow and 120mm for a CPU watercooler is pretty small, so expect some thermal throttling under heavy load.
RAM speed is largely irrelevant with Intel CPUs (not much by way of appreciable real world difference between say 2400mhz and 3200), and it's a 95W cpu, the only way it's going to thermal throttle with a 120mm water cooler is if your ambient temperature is like 110 degrees.

It's highly dependent on the games the person plays.

While you're not necessarily wrong if the only games you consider are new & graphically intensive games, not all games are new/graphically intensive games.
