Its not a $1 product, it contains a quality led chip and quality led driver followed my quality aluminum body and lens. A $1 product wouldn't have any of those components. $1 product would be similar to the harbour freight freebies that aren't worth the cost of buying new batteries.

Is this flashlight worth the $5 shipping?

No, we see an brand name Olight keychain flashlight for $5.

Good luck fitting those on your keychain. You're comparing apple to oranges. You also shouldn't compare an YMMV B&M closeout deal to a decent deal accessible to anyone.

I was going to post this deal almost an hour ago (right after I ordered mine) but I saw the item went OOS. Now the website isn't showing that anymore -- so I suspect this item might often go in and out of stock so persistence might pay off.

I do not know for certain, but on Amazon the black version sells for $9.95 and it has 762 reviews with an average of 4.5 stars -- so it was worth a try for me! Smilie

If you have a use for it, definitely! It's actually worth the amazon price: $9.95.

If this is anything like the older model I have be very very careful with the fine threads when replacing the battery because they strip easy.

The light doesn't have that issue because the screw threads are square-cut -- see: http://i1199.photobucket.com/albu...S/S-12.jpg .

Get more info about this light in a very detailed review on candlepower forums. Note the URL tag doesn't work so I have to use the code tag to get it to display properly --

That's good to hear. Mine was an older identical looking ITP A3 EOS. I can't remember if ITP eventually became Olight or not.

From what I can tell ITP became Olight sometime prior to 2011. Also your older light has 3 modes but is 3/8" longer than this one.

The brand may have been called something else in between but it's been so long ago I can't remember. In any case I did order it back in 2011 and mine was the upgraded version with an XP-G and I think it had more lumens. I still grabbed this ITP since $5 for a name brand light is a decent deal.
