Depends on the resolution you are playing at and whether the 8320 supports a high enough pcie standard. 1440p and 4k gaming are less intensive for the CPU. If you are looking for high frame rates at 1080p you will be more effected.

But, yes. Between your 8320 and RAM you probably wont be getting the most out of your card.

It's not the CPU being limited by the graphics card ..other way around

Wasn't 2070 Super only @ $450 yesterday? Albeit it was only for preordering but it was from b&h (possible tax free for some) and without this MIR bs.

I was going to get this for my fiancee, but I guess not anymore. I guess I'll check out the 2070 Super

No. 5700XT is about 5% behind the 2070 Super on average. I would look up some benchmarks for games you play cause the 5700xt has some good wins against the 2070 Super. For this price you might as well get the 5700xt, or the 2060 Super. BUT I would also wait for the 5700xt AIB cards for the better cooling.

Overall the 2060 and 2070 are bad buys right now unless they are heavily discounted.

I just got into the PC world and I'm having a hard time justifying the 2070 over the 5700xt but my monitor is G sync.....

No. People have to stop being nvidia fanboys. The 5700xt outperforms the 2070 super in a few games and is 100 less normally. Once vendors come out with air coolers and slightly OC the thing, it's going to tie or beat the 2070super in most games. Go look at reviews of people who slapped a fan on it and overclocked.

Also, Navi is brand new guys. It's a complete redesign and drivers are still being updated. The 1080ti was beating the 2080 pretty handily when it launched and now the 2080 wins in pretty much every game by a good amount. Also take a look at other features that Navi has that beats nvidias counter (fidelityfx being one of them).

I bet by end of year Navi is even with nvidia because the 5700xt will be near 2080 performance for 350 or less on sales and they will have an even better 2080ti equivalent out at years end that probably is half the price but that is just a guess and wishful thinking. We NEED this competition so the prices can become reasonable at the high end.

Also keep in mind the new consoles will be completely AMD based. The optimization on consoles is crazy and then running Navi means games being design based on Navi. These reviews are cherry picking old games that are completely unoptimized and known to be intel games just to see how things have changed.

Also anyone that uses Linux check out what steam is working on. Making some pretty crazy improvements for Linux gaming.

My buddy got this card day one and hasn't had any issues. I've got the same model but the 2060 version and it's been solid. If you want top tier cooling this is the card to go with. Stays cool and quiet, they are rather large cards so keep that in mind
