Are these the best options out there for no subscription based monitoring? From my research I believe so but looking to get others opinions if they happen to already have this.

wyze cams have expandable storage (I currently use two). This is tempting though because of the outdoor compatibility

I believe this can be expanded from 16gb to 128gb microSD

I believe you are correct. I was just pointing out another subscription free option that I am more familiar with. Wyze cams are super cheap and fairly nice, but they don't appear to have as broad a feature set

Ahh gotcha, thanks! I'm leaning towards Eufy for outdoor features as well. Been watching these since the Kickstarter campaign but haven't pulled the trigger on them yet. Thinking now's better than ever

Great price for a great security system. I have this system with 3 cameras. The app has come a long way and is one of the best that I have used.

Previously I had Foscam but that system is trash. They kept on going offline which would require a hard reset every month.

I own the original kickstarter 2 camera system, then added one of these E models as well as the Doorbell... the only issue I'm having is the doorbell. Either it doesnt pick up enough or too much. Cant seem to find the right balance...

All that said, these are great and....

Pro-tip: run a hidden NAS (crawlspace FTW or attic) and stream your saved files there. If your place gets tampered with and they destroy/remove the base station they still wont have the files.

Foscam had a promising start 3-4 years ago, but it went downward.

Additional Pro-tip: I was trying to find out why they arent selling the "original" camera (these E versions came out later) and discovered these Base Home stations are a new "E" version and do not have A.I. functioning built in (needed for A.I. face detection regardless of either camera model) and they also do not have a built-in battery so power failures will disable these new E systems.

Shame.... they made a budget model and market it poorly. The battery back up of the original line is very useful especially now that PG&E potentially can just kill my power whenever they want here in CA.

I also have the original version and can say that the AI function was crap. Did not work at all as it would never recognize me even though I had a handful of pics stored. The battery backup is a good option though.

I bought a $12 enclosure to cover my outdoor capability.
