Economically, not a problem with buying 2 29" cases, but there are 2 potential benefit to this 29 + 25" combo:

1. Southwest airlines's carry-on limit is actually 24x16x10. The 25" case in this case may work as a carry-on. (only half inch over 2 of the dimensions)

2. The 25" case seem to fit inside the 29" case. So if your travel plan includes going with less luggage and bringing back a lot (i.e. shopping, moving back your kid from college, etc.), this may make life convenient. Also, for people with tight storage space will find nesting the suitcases beneficial.

According to the description on Kohls, the 29" case total 62.5 linear inches, so while technically over the 62" limit for practically all airlines for checked luggage, in my experience, you will not have any problems 99.999999% of the time. Now, if you use the expansion feature and jam it full and heavy, some airline agent in a bad mood may give you trouble...

MUST have a Kohl's charge card otherwise you loose the 30% coupon. I simply refuse to sign up for a companies charge card.

Im not really familiar with luggage brands but I'm in the market for some. Which would be the better deal/brand? This one or the Tag Matrix 2.0 28", 24", or 20" which also looks like hardshell/spinners (all for $49.99 no coupon/rebate) that is available at Macy's right now. Sorry, I can't include a link because Macys.com blocks my VPN connection and working at the moment so I can't disconnect? Seems like I can get 2 of those for $100 but if this brand is worth the extra $8 over those, I might bite on these.

I saw Macy's deal on another coupon website. Some people made a comment about having bad reviews. Looks like I am gonna go with Kohl's deal.

I travel weekly for work and last year bought an Away luggage based on recommendations from a colleague. Over the years, working as a consultant in IT and traveling all the time, I have owned Tumi, Samsung and so many other bags. After owning Away I don't think I'll ever go back to any other bags.

The best part about Away is their awesome customer service. The bags start at around $200ish and comes with a lifetime warranty that is incomparable to even Tumi imho.

Ping me if you are interested in purchasing one. I have a $20 off coupon which will give both of us a discount on the next bag.
