I've only used the aerosol can so may not be apples to apples but it does a great job. I've used it to clean up tools, engine bays, undercarriages, brake dust, freshly paint stripped parts, etc. It comes in very handy if you enjoy working in the garage.

If it was ~3 dollars in my area, I would go pick up a jug but I bought an aerosol four pack off amazon and still have two cans left. I'm at the point where I only want to buy what I really need unless it's something I know I'm going to use at a great price.

Quote from stasis
:
In for a couple. Will try to use it to clean wheels and tires. May work on brake dust but not sure about "browning" on the tires. I've already tried Superclean. Some guys on youtube recommend Mineral Spirits...
I'd be very careful putting chemicals on tires.

Best practical solvent for degreasing is mineral spirits. This WD-40 is certainly cheaper though but it might not be strong enough. Use a $9 pump sprayer filled with mineral spirits and you'll be surprised. I learned that from an aviation mechanic. That is what they use to clean engines during their annual inspections.
