There are enclosures on amazon for around $8 each that make them "outdoor cam's" and you'll probably want to buy the 16ft or 26ft microusb cables so you can easily power them(they only come with a 5ft cord).

To simplify things these are the ones I purchased...they were the cheapest at the time for my purposes but easy to compare them to others.

I read your rant right up until you called the raspberry pi a "POS". The broken grammar and lack of punctuation was bad enough but obviously you are technology challenged if you have problems with a raspberry pi. I've used them in various applications and they are rock solid. I'm currently using the $5 pi zero to convert a usb printer to wireless and a raspberry pi 3 on my 3d printer for remote monitoring/control. You make your own cable and then want to blame the camera for it? There are both 16 and 26 foot cables available that plenty of people are using just fine with these cam's. You either received defective units which should be returned or it's operator error.

Folks if you need a long cable look to the one I mentioned in a previous post...26 ft: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HCXTG95/

Hate that others have the 20% and I don't. I tried mine, wife's, parents, in-laws account no 20% Frown

For those of you in protest, not to get from Amazon, 2 from Wyze website cost 39.98 ( each 19.99) plus shipping will cost 8.90. A total of $48.88 before tax. $2.72 dollar difference

These were on sale for $43.26 the other day. Still a good deal @ $23.08 per cam.

I picked my first one up last week during the sale and absolutely love it. I flashed it with the official RTSP firmware for local streaming, so I don't get to enjoy the new person detection feature.

I use a few of these at home and like them overall, be aware that some people do still have some concerns based around the fact that they ultimately are a rebranded chinese camera that Wyze built new firmware around

Yep, have to buy a couple more directly from Wyze to realize any savings. Reccomend buying a couple of these regular ones from them and some of the pan/swivel versions. Shipping is based off of the physical size of your complete order and not based on a set price for each item, so you have to buy many to really see a bigger bargain than usual with these well priced cameras.

Is it really cheaper if you buy from wyze? You have to pay shipping PLUS tax for out the door price. With Amazon shipping is free and FAST (next day for me) but you have to pay tax like Wyze.

Put the price of Wyze company price out the door price vs Amazon's out the door price. So we can compare.

I have three, I do have issues with some events not recording, especially within a 10 min time window.
I leave through my back gate, gets recorded however ithese do not record me entering again within a 10 min window, so for security, nope something wrong.
Now yesterday I lost internet and guess what, I was unable to see any of my cams although I was home on my own network.

You be the judge what it how you use these.
