Hey everyone, there are various retailers right now that dropped the price of the 1TB Samsung 860 EVO 2.5 inch SSD down to $130.

B&H [bhphotovideo.com] has it for $129.99
Amazon [amazon.com] has it for $129.99
Newegg [newegg.com] has it for $129.99 NLA
Best Buy [bestbuy.com] has it for $129.99 NLA
Staples [staples.com] has it for $129.99 NLA

also available from:
Best Buy via Google Express [google.com] has it for $129.99 NLA
Amazon Prime Now [amazon.com] $129.99 Expired - $15 off with coupon code = $114.99 for first time users with code 15PRIMENOW (for Amazon Prime Users only, same day delivery within 2 hour windows) Amazon recommends tipping the driver $13 but the tip amount can be changed if desired.

Might be a good deal if you could save taxes or use coupons for some of the retailers to discount it even further, I know that Staples usually has coupons pretty often.
Good deal?

Thanks for posting. I didn't know these prices existed. I ended up getting one. I'm wondering if I should have waited until Prime day.

with todays low prices on ssd's this is not a good deal, if this was posted on reddit pc sales it would not get a single upvote.
Good thing it was posted here then.

How do the 860s fare vs other internal 2.5" drives? These were part of the Amazon Warehouse deals as well (extra 20% off if they are still around).

Samsung is rated highest for reliability/quality and speed in most of their ssd's. Followed closely by Western Digital depending on the model of SSD. Sata III is basically limited at 550MB read and 550MB write, which almost all brands have reached at this point.

Do others think there is any hope for a better price for prime day?

This has not been much lower has it?

Looking to pick one up, keep thinking with a sale and clever discounts it could get close to the $100-110 range but have not seen it budge lately since that 1tb QLC has been kicking around...

Would it be worth it to buy one from Amazon Warehouse Used Very Good for $95 with the 20% off?

If you have never used Google Express before you can try the 20% off code in the original post and buy it from Best Buy brand new without having to buy a refurbished drive.

LMAOLMAOLMAO Not according to the SD search history, your thinking the 500GB version not the 1TB version.

This drive usually hovers around $125 to $140 when its on sale, the lowest ive seen it on sale for was $125 during a Newegg Blitz deal.

According to Keepa (which I attached as an attachment to this post) the lowest price this drive has ever been on Amazon is $127.96 back in 11-29-2018 while their average price has been $144.49 the last 90 days.

I usually dont like buying anything refurbished, you never know where its been or how well the previous owner treated it, especially when it comes to losing data.
