Staples PLUS membership $15

Staples has a limited time promotion for its PLUS membership at $15 (annual)

While the general interest in shopping at Staples is fading, because of the shrinking promotions, this may be of interest to you, if you are still interested in the INK rewards program.

When you open the staples.com website, you will see the promotion.

I remember when this would have been worth it.

I asked a manager at my local store what their revenue is compared to two year ago, and they said its down more than half. He said the store profits were also down.

Those rebates floated their business.

One can maintain the ink rewards by getting Staples credit card.

But the additional coupons & special pricing that only works for plus members might make this worthwhile.

Did you ask them if they have figured out the issue causing their revenue down LMAO?

The only thing I ever go to Staples for now is paper and envelopes. Certainly not tech/electronics, ink, furniture, blah. Wouldn't be surprised (or dismayed) to hear they were going under. That said, Office Depot will go before Staples does - now there's a waste of retail space if ever there was one!

Does it make you eligible for 10 or 20 cartridges/month?

Does the ink purchase requirement still apply?

The ink purchase is a requirement for all (as far as I know)

You can do 20. But you can bypass this by getting their credit card.

It really is not a bad deal if one does not have Staples B&M nearby. I spend most of my rewards in store as I usually cannot find enough bargains to spend the full rewards in one transaction. But for $15, it sounds pretty decent since it does give 10% back on ink.

Despite all these negative comments, Staples & OD is probably the best remaining deals left. Especially since Kmart/Sears stop giving away free money. I just hope they do not change the programs too much.

Except Staples doesn't make their money from casual foot traffic

As long as the world has offices there will be office supply companies.

Heads up - cancelled my existing membership that expires end of month and am still "Plus" in the system so cannot renew at $15.

Edit: After a few hours, Plus was removed and I was able to renew.

I do it for the ink rewards. I buy my kcups there (very few places sell my kind) and price match my ink purchases to amazon or Best Buy. The $40/mo in free coffee is worth it.

So it won't extend your Plus membership?
