The TL-SG108 is great, no-fuss unmanaged SoHo grade switch. I've got two in service and one of its bigger 16 port brothers as well. $14.99 would be a historic low for it per Camel, but even if it's not the lowest ever, it's still a great price for it.

Need to extend my router signal to my detached garage (about 100 feet away). What do you guys recommend? A range extender or repeater. Budget close to 50$. I would like to add a ring doorbell outside my garage near drive way and also be able to use remote start to open my garage from car. Thanks in advance. I use Linksys EA8500 router.
Router 1 at home----->ethernet cable-------> Router 2 at garage. I don't recommend a WiFi extender.

How about some insight about why it's "Cheaply made Garbage"?

Dear knowledgable folks: My Wifi downstairs sucks. Would it be possible to connect this AC1200 to a powerline-over-ethernet adapter downstairs and then rebroadcast or make a second wifi network to improve coverage?

I wrote about it for a long time ago here. I'll give you two links at this time.
TP-Link is cheap. Because they are made with cheap parts. For the price? It's ok.

Yes. But you may have a stability issue.

Need a range extender for the house. What is the better buy, the RE220 for $18.99 or the EX3700 for $23.99?
To me they are about the same just different brand. Personally having the access point function is important and that's what I am going to use it for, and both have that function instead just wireless extender.

One more thing to add, the EX3700 will not block the whole outlet, but the RE220 most likely would.

I currently have TP-Link N300 Wireless Wi-Fi Router (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1). Would this be a good upgrade? I don't have Gigabit internet.

Also, what's a good modem to go along with this router?

For people confused by Moca.

The super cheap 10 dollar DECA adapters you see are slower but also the main drawback is that they can't be used alongside normal cable TV in the same coax cables.Though they work fine if you don't have cable TV in your house as a quick way to get a solid if not super fast connection. The somewhat more expensive Moca 1.1 adapters can be used with cable, but are slower.

The more expensive Moca 2.0+ adapter are quite a bit faster (up to 10x) AND can be used alongside cable TV in your house, on the same coax. But they cost 5x as much.

Watch out for lightning when using Ethernet between two structures.
