Better than Amazon's Prime Day Deal! I think it would require 6 months service before unlock. Best deal I've seen for it without having to jump through hoops or get it from an Ebay reseller.

Update:

They added a BOGO offer to it. So one V35 is $299.99, but if you activate one new line on a $30 plan and port in a second line at a $55 plan (for a total of $385) you will get 2 V35s!
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

The 3a is going to have the better camera. This is going to have better specs inside (processor and RAM). 3a is going to come more bare/stock Android with faster updates and probably a bit longer support. LG updates tend to take a while, but I like their UI. Can't go wrong with either, but if you like music and use wired headphones the built in DAC for this one would put it over the edge IMO.

LG's phones are usually priced cheaper than Pixels (or has better build quality compared to this particular Pixel), so you can probably go easy without much updates for two years or so given that you spend less. Why being so focused on updates? I'd rather have a better built quality phone with no updates for less money than with updates for more. My point is you can't use same phone for more than 2 years (battery issues, and outdated design) but you can stick with the same software for one more year without any issues. Updates themselves add only marginal value (IMHO)

Thanks for posting this. Over the weekend I saw this had dropped from 349 to 299. I am also thinking about a 3a XL + 1-00 GC for 479 or the Moto G7 for 199 .

No wifi calling, no go for me. Isn't the Pixel 3a a universal carrier unlock phone (ATT, Verizon T-mobile,Sprint networks ?)

I'd say unless you are in dire need of a DAC on a phone don't ever buy from LG. I've bought phones from them and they're pretty bad. Build quality and headphone quality is only good points for them. If you get this, expect little to no updates with all being delayed as hell, terrible customer service, and a ton of problems. Keep in mind they delayed the already delayed Andriod Pie for the V30. Anyone would be better off with a Pixel 3a.

LG V35 ThinQ V35 64GB Unlocked GSM Phone w/ Dual 16MP Camera - Aurora Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DQ8J...lDbFT3ZE3J [amazon.com]

Unlocked AT&T version of the phone for the same price. No hoops to jump through
That phone is sold by a third party retailer on Amazon's marketplace. This guy never answers question about the phone's condition. In fact, he never answer anything. It's like a black hole. Will you buy from sellers like that? He's not even had your money, yet. Imagine when he's got your money and if you have some issue with the phone.... Need service? Forget it!

I bought this last week. On paper, a year old $900 phone reduced to $300 (+25 upgrade fee) sounded like the deal I had been waiting for. I don't have any buyers remorse, but am not overly impressed by it either.

Pros:
very snappy performance
great sound and EQ with the headphone jack
camera without using the AI is top notch compared to others without using the AI
water "resistant"
OLED looks nice, but doesn't make a big difference to me personally (I don't watch a lot of video)

Cons:

There are only about 4 cases available to fit this phone. The ones for the V30 will work, but the camera lens will be off center in the opening.
EQ only works if headphones are plugged in, not with bluetooth
camera AI not as good as Pixel or Galaxy
signal reception is a bit weaker than my BLU Life One X2 this replaced
It came with Android 8.0 and shows no updates available. AT&T has pushed the update for Oreo. I hope Cricket doesn't get left out.

I tried to register for the "LG Promise" extra year of warranty and it says my IMEI number isn't recognized. It doesn't list Cricket as a carrier. I'm wondering if these discounted phones don't qualify.
I sent in a support ticket and am awaiting their response.

EDIT: LG responded that it takes as much as 10 days for the IMEI number to show up in their system after being purchased. Guess I'll try again in two weeks.

I don't know for sure, but highly doubt it. The phone was originally an AT&T exclusive.
