Sweet!!!!! however the 204hd has a higher dynamic range so it's better if you don't need the 4 channels...

I have two old Behringer U-Phoria UMC204HD from B&H photo.

I use them to replace sound card onboard, don't record sound.

All is good but sound in output in all port very low.

Because the last thing you want to do is be recording in the field and have to pause everything to charge your damn recorder or find an outlet

I mean the last thing i wud wanna do Is have to bring AA batteries w/ me or have the recorder die and then have to drive out and find AA batteries instead of just using my battery bank which powers all my other electronics~

Amazing deal if you need either one of these. I mostly wanted the tascam and this is by far the best deal i've seen on the new model.

For the low-cost consumer models, they'd be more expensive if they included batteries. For the professional models, pros don't want to be constrained by the size of the built-in battery and/or have external charging options so internal batteries would be unnecessary extra weight.

There is at least one with a rechargeable internal battery: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pr...order.html

Somewhat new to this audio equipment. Is that box a DAC? I have a basic monoprice DAC, and looking into upgrades (without really knowing much).
