Mine had a lot of corruptions on multiple sd cards. It also has been going crazy when I turn off my car, it reboots around 8x and it gets annoying. It's not my car, it worked fine for a year and almost directly after 1 year started acting weird.

It's a cheap Dashcam but I'd get something else if you have the money. It disconnects a lot when you try to transfer files through WiFi.

There used to a 25$ Yi dashcam promoted on SD for a while. Is this a better version than that?

Eyeing the Yi Nightscape dashcam but looks like this is a brand new dashcam from them. As such, there aren't any real reviews for it but it looks like it uses a capacitor instead of battery. Anyone have experience with the company themselves? I originally had my sights set on the b1w @ $44 but this is close to that price as well

Yes, the $25 dollar one had a 130 degree lens and the file format was different. It was a "lite" version of this dashcam.

No issue with it so far for about 2 years. It's a hit or a miss for some I guess.

Bad product. Do not buy it. I have 2 and both have corrupted SD card problem. I am on my 6th SD card in last 6 months.

I'm interested in getting a dash cam. Don't understand all the thumbs up this one is getting with people saying they've had a bad experience with it. This seems like a better deal, not less but good reviews. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B078B...B01M592J9C

i bought one expecting delivery any minute. rated 185F capacitor is what i need here. 1080/60. finally. all black. i don't like one review saying it nags after a few hours. i may want to keep it running even when car is parked. don't need it to make noise. not possible to disable according to review. would be extremely annoying. i never drive for hours so not a problem. only when parked.

Even with high endurance SD cards meant for these types of continuous write devices?

I bought this from a deal ($40) last December.
Worked well enough through the MN winter, WiFi feature is nice.
But now that things are getting warm it fails. Once in the high 80s it gets into a boot-loop and/or complains about the SD-card formatting.
Take it inside, hook it up to power and without any changes it records fine.
Besides that the picture quality is so-so, there are definitely better cameras out there for not much more money.
But you definitely want to buy one with a capacitor instead of a battery like this one.
