Order through any Alexa compatible device and say "Alexa, order an Amazon Smart Plug"
Once you do that, it'll automatically be added to cart.
Now, add an Echo Dot (3rd Gen) to cart for $22
At checkout, your total will be only $12.63!

After cancelling my initial $5 smart plug order, I can't even get the $20 off the Smart Plug anymore. Alexa adds it to my cart without the deal. Talk about insult to injury.

EDIT: $20 discount isn't showing up anymore when using Alexa app to order Smart Plug even on my friend's Prime account in which one was never ordered.
You can add the 5" Echo Show and it makes the plug 4.99. Try adding different alexis items.

Not sure how this happened but I had an Echo Show 5 in the cart when I tried this method so I got Show 5, Dot and smart plug for $59 total.

deals dead. got $29. added smart plug to cart with alex, then went to site to add dot, showed up $29. havent purchased a thing. Deal is YMMV
Same, wasted time trying to get the dot, dumb. Is there a slick deals alert just for prime deals so I'm not getting notifications only once they hit front page? Sorry I know it sounds stupid I just have found it much less easy to customize using the app, I'm finding it harder than I thought to use only mobile operating systems

It was when I was charging the shipping that it did for me...pretty sure they just fixed the glitch while I was doing that though
No I don't think because It happened to me multiple times. Their credit system is broken, the moment they give you a account credit spend it on a physical gift card. I lost $400 when I selected my credit card instead of my credit as it was to be used towards a equivalently pricy $3500 tv, except after that $5 transaction I never saw it again. Much like my hurricane Katrina renters assistance, it's somehow a case that's still "under review". If "review" is a cardboard box in the basement than maybe I can believe they're still under review.

Anyone else get their Echo Dot order cancelled? I got the smart plug almost immediately but they kept delaying the Dot order until they finally cancelled it today. It looks like they gave me the smart plug for free, applied a $5 credit to my gift card balance for the trouble and sent me a code to replace my Dot order for $22. I can't really complain since I got a free plug & $5 credit and don't really need the Dot.

Same here. I wonder what happened. I got the dot at $14 after tax ($13.8 to be exact). Now it's $19 after applying courtesy credit....

Hello,

Received an email last night about the delayed Dot but I don't understand why. They obviously have these in stock so why are they playing games delaying for weeks and then finally cancelling? I'm guessing they realized they're losing money at this point and just hope you'll sucker into paying more for the "deal" they offered.....Thinking about calling CS to see what they say.

I thought about that too, but I'm too lazy. I think I"m just going to stick with the free smart plug & $5 credit and call it good.
