For those not with either one, the 20GB for $20 is available to any new Ting customer. However, you'll miss out on the free month and it expires at the end of 2019. Would be interesting to know if Option 2 also has expiration date or continues on as long as you stick with Ting.

Not bad.

It seems they just matched Tello on the low end plan.

1GB + Unlimited Talk/Text for $10.

Interesting, might just stay with Ting on one phone and move the lighter use phone to Tello.

Appears that only advantage on the $10 plan for Tello is the unlimited throttled data after 1GB of use.

RIP to my free 2GB month FP Sprint plan.. Although $20 for 20GB is a good deal I'm more excited about the changes w/Red Pocket taking over the FP AT&T SIM customers. Live CS, Native Phone (No voip), No existing changes to FP plans for now & could be offering the Freemium service on any of the 4 networks!

I just tried to migrate it over myself, and the following message was shown at the bottom:

"Whichever option you choose, your rate is guaranteed through 2019. In 2020, accounts will automatically switch to Ting Mobile's regular rates."

What are their regular rates? All I saw was "There is no plan. You just pay for what you use". Ok well how much per minute/sms/gb? The $20 plan looks great but if it's gonna double in 6 months I'll pass. I saw Sprint mentioned as a carrier but then I saw them mentioned they have TWO national carriers so who's the other?

For FreedomPop users only? I only see the regular ridiculous rates. These are teaser rates. I wouldn't bother unless you are good with changing service again in 5 months.

I am absolutely fine changing anytime. Heck, would change in a few months, if needed.

Main number went to Google Voice years ago (RingPlus) days, never an issue to change plans (phone is unlocked all carriers, as well).

I'd say for anyone considering that plan why not just go to tello and get the same $10 rate and not worry about changing the carrier in 5 months when you get hammered with Tings regular rates? Both are Sprint MVNO, Actually I had Ting but now with Tello, no difference in service quality (or lack of = Sprint) Ting did have great CS, but I haven't needed to use Tello's CS to compare. Now the 20 GB plan I would understand.

If I do nothing will service just shutdown at end of current cycle or sooner? Any way to move the CDMA service over to Redpocket which seems to be handling the transition of the GSM service better.

Well, I am holding out some false hope that my top-up balance will roll over, as it did when RP went dead. If so, that buys me a couple months of free service.

Also, unique to me, I have an old Moto G4 that I need to upgrade, was hoping to do that all at once, so will wait.
