I am not saying that Slickdeals making a profit is a bad thing. Just saying it should be flagged as sponsored advertisement, like all of the credit card and other sponsored deals.

Same with all the clearly sponsored Amazon deals where OP is paid to post on behalf of the seller. Some are still good deals, but it should be flagged up front that the OP took a commission to post the deal so people are aware. Kinda how commercials always have a disclaimer that the actor is a paid spokesman.

Why you try to hide it, it just feels dirtier.

The constant stream of klipsch deals only means that adorama provides a large referral percentage back to slickdeals on each sale. There is likely very few actual sales, but each one provides a large revenue stream.

The Yamaha V2085 was just $800 from Adorama recently and the RP280FA in the past was $900 a pair so the second deal for $1549 may not be that slick

I used to own an all Klipsch setup (Klipsch Legend series as my Main L/R speakers.). However, the WAF was not good so I had to sell them. I have mounted satellites now (Orb Audio). Really good build quality, but man do I miss my Klipsch towers!

So I don't get this animosity against these post & iconian. Isn't this part of a normal business practice for businesses, to make a profit?
I mean don't we see it all the time I E commercials.
Even if SD is getting a "large referral percentage back to slickdeals on each sale"(speculation) again isn't that part of the business model?
I just don't get why people dislike these post, no one is making you read them I mean when you see Adorama/iconian you must know the topic so why don't you just move on!

Seems like there have been many people even within this thread that like Klipsch and may have gotten a deal from Adorama.
Iconian doesn't even make a comment all he does is post the deal.

I get some people don't care for Klipsch , I would fall in that category but that doesn't mean they're not good speakers for some people and make these post a bad/negative one.

Agreed. If you don't like anything about it (price, promotion, whatever) just don't buy it. End of discussion. If you do like it, jump on it.

Well I'm guessing that speculation on your part unless you know otherwise?
I believe there is something to that affect under Iconian's users name?

I'm not sure how that's dirty because it happens all the time we just don't notice it.

Personally I don't really care how the money is divided as long as I feel I got a good deal.

For some reason this reminded me of Back to School

"Mr. Melon, your wife was just showing us her Klimt."

Ah Rodney, you died too soon.

Should always assume the worst here, I do. I signed up for this, and expect nothing less.

While they do probably make disgusting profits, they're still giving you deals. Just don't take any deals posted by x people if you feel this way, imo.

As always, look around before making a significant purchase. I first got thinking about speaker + receiver sets by seeing them here, but ended up buying a Polk set at newegg last year that was a better deal. Sold the receiver and kept the speakers. Just because it's posted on this (or any other) site, it doesn't automatically make it a hot deal.
