They are normally for the kitchen but you can use them where ever you want.

How hard would it be to remove these? I'm renting an apartment and would like to make it look nicer but I would have to remove it when I move out.

Would these ruin the walls if I remove it?

This look is almost already outdated, I wouldn't jump in on this fad now.

Never tried with these specific tiles, but I have experienced other adhesive backed items on the wall.

Best case scenario is it would come off with a heat gun or really good hair dryer, soap and water, and elbow grease. That's a hypothetical, because my luck is such that it would rip off the paint, texture, and sheetrock paper. In that case, you could simply retexture with spray-can texture and paint over with a small can of matching paint, which is like $15 in total.

On the other hand, if your landlord isn't a jerk, he or she likely would be fine with it staying there provided it looks good.

I might just try asking my landlord to see if they're okay with me sticking these on the walls first.

It's always best to ask for forgiveness, rather than permission... 😏

While your comment is cute I can assure you it is wiser to ask permission if one is hoping to get their security deposit back. Nothing is more irritating than going into your house after the tenant leaves and finding out about all of the 'renovations' that were done without your consent. Source: parents are landlords

My ex wife tried that with me. I didn't find it in myself to forgive her. I'm happily dating 70 year old widowers now. They aren't afraid to spend the money.

As a landlord your best bet is to ask for permission unless of course you don't care about deductions from your security deposit.

Yup. It's like twitter, Instagram, myspace, aol instant messenger, facebook and Reddit. All an open forum to air our laundry behind the safety of our screens. Ain't life grande?

How would peel and stick work on a fireplace surround? Wouldn't use these in my kitchen or anything, but seems like they might be OK for a fireplace. Any experience?
