I missed out on the $94 Prime Day prices , (would've loved to score an A7III kit) so I'm pairing this with my 80D refurb.

What $94 dollar price, I didn't see any of the sigma lenses going for that price.

There was an Amazon glitch that was causing everything to be listed at that price. Someone said they got a Canon 5D Mark 4 for that price. Amazon is going to honor their mistake.

Bought this last month and it struggled with autofocus. I was thinking about getting the usb dock to calibrate it but decided just to return it. Feels wrong that i have to purchase an additional item to calibrate it. Turns out I kept it at 35mm length most of the time so I'll just get a prime at that length.

Also it's a little noisy with autofocus and heavy (both I knew before purchasing but sharing for those that haven't read reviews)

Pictures taken with manual focus were sharp and nice. I may get the 35mm art DG which is compatible with aps-c and full frame(I have a 70d but will eventually upgrade)

I wasn't referring to Sigma lenses specifically, I was talking about the various $94 body/kits like the A7III, A9, 6D Mark II, etc. Would have been a much slicker deal than my $700 refurbished 80D! Oh well, maybe next year 🤞

Great lens and great deal! Wish I had some extra dollars to spend. Summer is my off season and gotta be a little frugal.

Oh shit, missed it as well. I went looking specifically for the sigma 17-50 and it was at regular price.

Too bad I didn't see the other deal...

Correct.

You really do need to purchase the dock to get these working better.

And yes these are old designs and noisy. Expect a $399 price soon.

After missing out on the Prime Day glitch, where I could have bought a professional camera kit for around a $100, I can't even think about another camera deal. It hurts too much.

I had this lens & it was perfectly fine without the dock. Sharp and contrasty. Only reason I sold it was because I upgraded my entire kit to fullframe. No one else even makes a crop sensor midrange lens this fast. I don't see it dropping far below $500. If this had Nikon printed on it the price would be $1500.
