Sometimes I think most consumer shop vacuums are made in the same factory and only differ by branding and attachments. I think that is the case with Shop Vac and Craftsman; is that the case with Ridgid and any other brand?

Got it, thanks OP. Good reviews compared to other brands and good price for a 5 HP 12 gal. Expected in-store delivery (to home was also free) is the 29th, 10 days after ordering.

First one I wanted to buy. Unfortunately arrived damaged. Besides an issue with it (sealer cap was not outside at the bottom, but forcefully screwed on inside where the bag shall go - no idea why), it looked solid and sturdy. I returned it to HD no questions asked. Woulda buy again to try, but since then DeWalt and Craftsman went on sale and I got one of each for my shop.
