Lol, because I'm sure the steal locking mechanism could be broken without being completely obvious due to extreme physical damage. Don't be such a drama queen. Worst case scenario it doesn't hold pressure....

I'm buying to have a 2nd pot to cook in at once and a backup pressure cooker for when mine dies

Not sure if it is smart to buy a refurbished pressure cooker. I definitely don't want it to explode on my face...

I bought a used house that came with a used water heater. I'm still alive 😂

Be forewarned that vipoutlet can be hit and miss. I have tried 3x to buy a sound bar from them. 2x it never shipped, 1x it was missing power brick.

FWIW, it would seem from a multitude of Amazon reviews that Instant Pot has poor customer service and reliability... judging from the complaints there. A lot of people said the phone number contact for their warranty has their mailbox full, and they don't get back to you if you contact any other way. As tempting as these deals are, I think the best value will still be finding one in a thrift store soon & paying $20 or less for it

ive bought a number of things from them. they for the most part are a liquidator; most stuff was new never opened except for a chromebook I had go return because it was a refurb from HP that the backlight didnt work

Nope he is right, i bought 5 items recently and 3 were missing parts or not working for example the beats x headphones were trash, urlhasbeenblocked holder was broken etc! For such a cheap appliance why not get it new with a year of warranty than get a used one. Ebay seller refurb is basically used.
