$5.95 for the $100 cards

Just added both coupons in my Safeway Just4U app.

Thank you sir, time to finish my Amex Gold churning. Already at 22k of 25k for grocery category.

The Dosh App has 4% cashback for safeway right now. Couple that with a CC that does a higher % for grocery stores and this is a deal!

Does anyone know if you earn Fuel rewards points on these visa gift cards with safeway?

I was racking up the Rewards points on Visa GCs at Vons until at one point months ago that all stopped.

Don't see any Dosh offer for Vons unfortunately.

Just posting here to make sure I have my math correct. My Safeway allows credit card purchases of gift cards. Atleast they did last time. Say I use Amex Blue Cash Preferred to buy 2 x $100 gift cards. I get 6% cashback, so that is $12. I pay $5.95 * 2 = $11.90 in fees to activate the cards. Finally, I get $15 off because of this deal.

In total, I get $15.10 savings on $200. That is 7.55% savings. Does that sound right?

Slightly off but you got the main point though. Just remember that the 6% CB is up to the first $6k of the calendar year at the grocery stores.

$200+$11.90-$15=$196.90*6%+$3.10=$14.91 or 7.455% back.
