I got these last time, am using them in a small old audio amplifier because it requires 1.5V. I had been using rechargeable alkaline (yes, they've been making such a thing for years, not nearly as good as NiMH but they output 1.5V) but I've ruined too many devices due to their leakage.

So I'm satisfied so far for using as low-drain (e.g., not in a camera flash) AA batteries where 1.5V output is required and rechargeable is desired.

Yikes. Wish I did more research. I went on a bonanza and bought quite a few from past deals.

The 11% failure rate is pretty bad. Although to be fair, many of them are for camera flash (which the manufacturer explicitly states this product doesn't do).

So, these aren't anything special, they are just lithium batteries with a linear voltage regulator on them?

A lot of those complaints are idiots though.

Wait what are these? Rechargeable lithium metal or lithium ion? Lithium ion cannot produce 1.5 volts. Lithium metal should not be recharged. Stay far away from this.

Hopefully a switching supply. But I have no way of confirming.

edit: the video review that sdpoker posted indicates it's a switcher (efficiency ~ 90%), not linear.

Lots of ignorant posters in here.

These are indeed a fairly unique battery option. There may be one or two alternatives to Tenergy out there.

If you require 1.5v rechargeables, its pretty much these or nothing.

1.2v eneloops will work plenty fine for most whose devices don't demand full alkaline voltage.

Alternatively, you can just buy batteries without a charge if you already have one from previous deals. I bought these and put them (3 into each D size enclosure) and they work well, as well as Eneloops.

Order Summary
Items: $25.99
Shipping & handling: $0.00
66EEUBGZ: -$17.15
Total before tax: $8.84
