My kids wants to take up guitar. Is this a good starter deal?

This should be fine for a beginner. They do make jr. models too, that are smaller, depending on how big your children are.

That says "travel body style" so it might be smaller than average.. not sure

This is a "travel body" guitar. It is not the normal size, but scaled down for travel. FYI

Thanks. How about the price? I have no idea what jr models go for. Was originally going to rent a guitar until one of my kids was either good and/or interested enough.

I snapped this up last week and it's now my go-to acoustic. The built in tuner is hella handy and putting it beside my electric, it really is the exact same size of it with all the joy of acoustics plus the fishman electrics sound rad. The neck is also smooth as butter on the back and rounded which REALLY DOES make it easy as heck to play. I love doing slides and bends all over the neck so it's perfect for it.

Are you jerkin it or playing guitar? It's hard for me to tell...

I was torn about this deal. There are a good amount of good reviews, but then there are definitely some not so good ones. Sometimes though it's hard to tell what people are used to. Some are more experienced than others as far as having exposure to very nice guitars.

As long it sounds good with and without the amp, I'm game! Are the strings nice? Easy to press down?
