Hold up, those speakers are like $100. This combo deal should be FP. Or am I missing something here.

It's a good price for the combo, but depending on your planned usage, you may want a bigger set of speakers to pair with the turntable. Sound is very subjective, but for a living room setup, I'd go at least 4 inches on the woofers. If you have a big room, I'd consider stepping up to 5.25 or even 6.5.

The CR3's should be good for a small room, or even as computer speakers.

I see, thank you for the input. This may just be for my workstation/PC room so this set would probably work.

I think they would do well for that purpose. The main issue smaller woofers have is that they can't move enough air to reproduce bass as the volume increases, but if you don't plan to listen to them loud all the time, they should work just fine.

Good deal. I have one of these, it has decent sound quality. Since it's direct drive the speed is always consistent.

Also, it weighs a ton.
