If anyone thinks box is worth buying this for storage, think again, this box is horrible, doesn't stay closed and if kids grab it in wrong place it will open and spill everywhere, they should just stop making this box and reduce the price, or give an actual brick storage which is much better.

Very good deal. Per CCC, Amazon only once had it at this price back in late 2016. Has been as expensive as $38+.

Is there a more cost effective place to buy bricks than through deals like this? My son needs a bunch of 2x4s. Was wondering if this box is more cost effective than a LEGO store wall or brickseek in amassing those bricks

I've seen a few toy stores with bins of 2nd hand Lego (the one near me is a board game shop (Magic, etc.)) . They usually sell them by weight. They are well picked over, so don't expect any rare pieces, but if you just want basic bricks you should have a good choice.

Completely agree, I purchased 10 of these a couple years ago to get the bricks and use as storage, the lids suck. The bins however, are excellent for sorting/temporary storage.

Yes, try bricklink or brickowl.

I wonder if a little velcro on the locking tabs may help.

Legos don't work very well as land mines if they're sitting in their storage box.
